But hidden behind her coarse (and actually flawless) exterior, Anna gives us glimpses of heartbreak and emotion as tangible and beautiful as it comes. That said, it really stands on its own as extremely gripping enjoyable fun and readers can pick it up comforted to know the sequel, Crimson Earth, is ready and waiting to give readers just as much (if not more) of an unforgettable roller-coaster thrill ride as Violet Storm.įirst, our feisty (and I mean tough!
